Yom Kippur War - October War

To all Muslims, who think Arabs won Yom Kippur/October war: Please have your researches by any real history book instead to go into Arab propaganda websites which misinforming you about the facts of that war.

Here are some FACTS for you:

The War Begins

On October 6, 1973 — Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar — Egypt and Syria opened a coordinated surprise attack against Israel. The equivalent of the total forces of NATO in Europe were mobilized on Israel's borders. On the Golan Heights, approximately 180 Israeli tanks faced an onslaught of 1,400 Syrian tanks. Along the Suez Canal, 436 Israeli defenders were attacked by 80,000 Egyptians.

At least ten Arab states, including four non-Middle Eastern nations, actively aided the Egyptian-Syrian war effort.

A few months before the Yom Kippur War, Iraq transferred a squadron of Hunter jets to Egypt. During the war, an Iraqi division of some 18,000 men and several hundred tanks was deployed in the central Golan and participated in the October 16 attack against Israeli positions. Iraqi MiGs began operating over the Golan Heights as early as October 8, the third day of the war.

Besides serving as financial underwriters, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait committed men to battle. A Saudi brigade of approximately 3,000 troops was dispatched to Syria, where it participated in fighting along the approaches to Damascus. Also, violating Paris's ban on the transfer of French-made weapons, Libya sent Mirage fighters to Egypt (from 1971-1973, President Muammar Qaddafi gave Cairo more than $1 billion in aid to rearm Egypt and to pay the Soviets for weapons delivered).

Other North African countries responded to Arab and Soviet calls to aid the frontline states. Algeria sent three aircraft squadrons of fighters and bombers, an armored brigade and 150 tanks. Approximately 1,000-2,000 Tunisian soldiers were positioned in the Nile Delta. Sudan stationed 3,500 troops in southern Egypt, and Morocco sent three brigades to the front lines, including 2,500 men to Syria.

Lebanese radar units were used by Syrian air defense forces. Lebanon also allowed Palestinian terrorists to shell Israeli civilian settlements from its territory. Palestinians fought on the Southern Front with the Egyptians and Kuwaitis.

The least enthusiastic participant in the October fighting was probably Jordan's King Hussein, who apparently had been kept uninformed of Egyptian and Syrian war plans. But Hussein did send two of his best units — the 40th and 60th Armored Brigades — to Syria.

Israel Recovers

Thrown onto the defensive during the first two days of fighting, Israel mobilized its reserves and eventually repulsed the invaders and carried the war deep into Syria and Egypt. The Arab states were swiftly resupplied by sea and air from the Soviet Union, which rejected U.S. efforts to work toward an immediate ceasefire. As a result, the United States belatedly began its own airlift to Israel.

The Soviet Union showed no interest in initiating peacemaking efforts while it looked like the Arabs might win. The same was true for UN Secretary-General Kurt Waldheim.

However, on October 8th, Israeli forces, bolstered by called-up reserves, counter-attacked in the Sinai. They pushed back the Egyptian military and crossed the Suez Canal south of Ismailia. Here, the Israelis used the Suez-Cairo road to advance towards the Egyptian capital, Cairo, and got to within 65 miles of it.

The Israelis experienced similar success in the Golan Heights where the Syrian forces were pushed back and Israel re-captured lost land. Using the main road from Tiberias to Damascus, the Israelis got to within 35 miles of the Syrian capital.

On October 22, the Security Council adopted Resolution 338 calling for "all parties to the present fighting to cease all firing and terminate all military activity immediately." The vote came on the day that Israeli forces cut off and isolated the Egyptian Third Army and were in a position to destroy it.

Saving the Losers

How Israel behaved differently? With the Egyptian 3rd army surrounded, starving, dying from lack of water, did Israel move in for the kill as the Arabs would have? NO! Israel supplied and allowed supplies of fresh water and food to the very army who wanted to kill all Israelis and throw them into the sea.

Israel reluctantly complied with the cease fire, largely because of U.S. pressure, but also because the next military moves would have been to attack the two Arab capitals, something few believed would be politically wise. Despite the Israel Defense Force's ultimate success on the battlefield, the war was considered a diplomatic and intelligence failure.

The First "Arab Goddess Victory"

Arab casualties were known to be much higher than Israel's, though precise figures are difficult to ascertain as Egypt and Syria never disclosed official figures. The lowest casualty estimate is:

Israel Arabs

2,297 Israeli soldiers had been killed
8,000 (5,000 Egyptian and 3,000 Syrian) have been killed
7250 wonded 18,000 wounded
293 were captured 8,372 Egyptians and 392 Syrians were captured, Thirteen Iraqis and six Moroccans were also captured
400 Tanks + 600 disabled tanks, but been repaired and back to service 2250 Tanks, 400 of these fell into Israeli hands in good working order
102 Aircrafts514 Aircrafts
2 Hellicopters: Bell 205 & CH-5319 Naval Vessels

And the last FACT for you...

How's that Egypt got Sinai peninsula back by signing on a peace treaty with Israel in March 26, 1979 and didn't occupied Sinai in October war which occured in October 6, 1973?

Something to think about...

An Open Letter to Israel Prime minister

Dear Prime Minister,

If Israel's best young men and women must die, at least let them die defending a proud Nation... not a Nation groveling at the feet of murderers. Re-ignite the spirit of King David rather than that of the defenseless ghetto Jew. Be merciless on the Arab enemy who feeds off the carcasses of dead Jews. There are NO "bridges for peace." They disappeared long ago... right after Hagar and Sarah realized there wasn't enough of Abraham to go around!

The Arab enemy has chosen the terms of engagement. We want to live... they want us to die. That concept SHOULD be simple enough to grasp. The "Palestinians" are historical nobodies yet you have foolishly given them legitimacy. The world will not miss one single Arab "Palestinian." They have given the civilized world nothing but long lines at airport security checks. So why are you suddenly taking up their cause?

May I suggest that you take a walk through the Mt. Herzl Military Cemetery in Jerusalem where we took these photos. Look for the grave of that beloved Jewish soldier and try to convince his parents that the Arabs truly seek peace. And one more thing, Dear Prime minister, Wipe that silly smile off your face when you go there!

Why so many Jews have such an inexplicable urge to be loved by the world to the point of sacrificing themselves to minimize harm to enemy civilians or their olive trees?

It can only be called madness!

They twist normal self-preservation to show the world that they are better and DEADER than their enemies.

Unfortunately, by asking the Israel soldier not to sink to his enemy's level, he ends up sinking six feet BELOW his enemy's level! All in hopes of being admired by the world and his enemies.... posthumously, of course!

If there are still some Jews so riddled with some sort of ageless ghetto mentality wishing to lay down THEIR OWN lives so that their enemy's "civilians" might live, that's just fine with us.

And the sooner we Jews rid ourselves of these sick Jewish types, the better!

But when these same Jews happen to be the leaders of Israel or I.D.F. commanders, THEN Israel surely has a problem... And THAT problem is the running out of Jewish soldiers!

The Arabs are fighting Israel and now Israel must fight like a real army!

If Israel could in 1967 defeat the combined Egyptian, Jordanian and Syrian Armies in just six days, surely today's more powerful Israel Army could deal a death blow to the Palestinian Arabs in just six HOURS!

And THIS time, throw them out and KEEP THEM OUT!

No End in Sight...

While Israel continues to participate in one make-believe "Peace Process" after the other after the other after the other after the other...

Mothers water their sons' graves while cemetery workers will prepare new ones until the Israeli politicians finally
'Gets It."

This was written during the frightening prime ministership of Ehud Barak, during which he nearly gave away the 'whole store' for peace. Thank G-d Arafat once again saved Israel from herself by refusing his offer which may have been nearly 100% of his 'demands"... but not 100% of them! These words could just as easily have been written during the present Ariel Sharon prime ministership or ANY future one that thinks the Arabs will ever stop murdering Jews.

Jewish Pride

Never it was better than now, this is just the news on the TV has cause to people to think that the end of the world is coming soon.

70 years ago, the Nazis lead us to die as sheep.

63 years ago, 7 Arabian armies did war with us when we were couple hours old. We were only 650,000 Jews against all the Arabian countries in the entire world.

Without any arms source, without any army or airforce, just a few people who don't have anywhere else to go or to live.

Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, Jordan, Egypt, Lybia and Saudi Arabia, attacked us all of them together.

The land the UN gave us by OUR historical rights was 65% desert and unusable for farming, this is the country that began from nothing.

We fought in 1967 against 6 Arab armies and we won in 6 days.

Army with one of the best airforce in the entire world.

Export and Hi-Tech in billion of dollars, Intel, Microsoft and IBM producers in Israel.

Our doctors at the 1st level in the world, winning world awards.

We have changed the desert to paradise.

We export flowers and produce to the entire world, as well as systems of agriculture.

Israel sent 6 satellites to the space.

* Ofeq - Series of reconnaissance satellites. The first of these was launched from the Palmachim site on September 19, 1988.
* Amos - Series of communications satellites
* Eros - Series of observation satellites
* Techsat - Researching satellite launched by the Technion
* TechSAR - a SAR-based observation satellite.
* Sloshsat - microsatellite for investigation of dynamics of fluids in microgravity. In association with RAFAEL, Fokker Space laboratories, NIVR, NLR and others.

Not to mention another 4 satellites in development:

* Venus - Development, assembly and launching of a scientific microsatellite for Earth research. In association with Israeli government, IAI, Elbit Systems, RAFAEL and French space agency (CNES).
* TAUVEX - Production and launching of a space telescope in UV range for astronomical observation from the space. In association with Israeli government, Elbit Systems, Indian space agency (ISRO).
* OPsat - the new generation optical observation satellite.
* INSAT-1 and INSAT-2 - 2 nano-satellites developed by INSA - Israeli Nano Satellite Association.

We are proud to be with USA (350 millions), Russia (200 millions), Japan (127 millions), China (1.2 billions), France, England and Germany (450 millions), India (1 billion); Oh yes, and Iran at 2009... (72 millions)

Israel has nuclear weapons, even if we don't say that, everyone knows.

To think... just 70 years ago, the Nazis killed almost all of us (6 million of 15 million Jewish world population).

70 years ago, we had nothing, and today we have an empire.

Damn, who is Nasrallah to cause us of being scared or frightened, you are kidding us.

We overcame Egypt, Greece, Roman Empire, Spain Inquisition, Pogrom in Russia, Holocaust, 6 & 7 Arabian armies in 2 wars, Saddam Hussein, and many more.

It doesn't matter what age of humanity we overcame the troubles.

It was never better for the Jews than this time, so let's hold our heads high in pride and remember...

Any nation has wanted to kill us in our past, no longer exist, and our enemies of today, will disappear too.

Where is Egypt empire, Greece Empire, Alexander Mokdon, The Romans?

Is there anyone speak Latin except in prayers of the Catholic church?

Look at us, we are the same nation of the Bible, we are still here talking the same Hebrew language.

The Arabs don't know yet, but they will learn, there is only ONE G-d.

We are sorry we don't "cry," howlers, worries or scares.

Everything is good here, it should be better, but still, it is good.

Don't listen to the media. It won't be showing you our festivals, happenings, landscape, culture, friends, etc.

So what if our morale is sometimes low? It's just because we're crying on our family, friends, soldiers, which are dead, when the Arabs are dancing on our blood.

This is the same reason why after all, WE WILL WIN!!

The Middle East Conflict

The Palestinians want their own country. There's just one thing about that: There are no Palestinians. It's a made up word. Israel was called Palestine for two thousand years. Like Wiccan, Palestinian sounds ancient but is really a modern invention

Before the Israelis won the land in the 1967 war, Gaza was owned by Egypt, the West Bank was owned by Jordan, and there were no Palestinians.

As soon as the Jews took over and started growing oranges as big as basketballs, what do you know, say hello to the Palestinians, weeping for their deep bond with their lost land and nation.

So for the sake of honesty, let's not use the word Palestinian anymore to describe these delightful folks, who dance for joy at our deaths, until someone points out they're being taped. Instead, let's call them what they are Other Arabs Who Can't Accomplish Anything In Life And Would Rather Wrap Themselves In The Seductive Melodrama Of Eternal Struggle And Death.

I know that's a bit unwieldy to expect to see on CNN. How about this, then Adjacent Jew-Haters. Okay, so the Adjacent Jew-Haters want their own country. Oops, just one more thing. No, they don't. They could've had their own country any time in the last thirty years, especially two years ago at Camp David but if you have your own country, you have to have traffic lights and garbage trucks and Chambers of Commerce, and, worse, you actually have to figure out some way to make a living.

That's no fun. No, they want what all the other Jew-Haters in the region want: Israel. They also want a big pile of dead Jews, of course --
that's where the real fun is -- but mostly they want Israel.

Why? For one thing, trying to destroy Israel - or The Zionist Entity as their textbooks call it -- for the last fifty years has allowed the rulers of Arab countries to divert the attention of their own people away from the fact that they're the blue-ribbon most illiterate, poorest, and tribally backward on God's Earth, and if you've ever been around God's Earth . . . you know that's really saying something.

It makes me roll my eyes every time one of our pundits waxes poetic about the great history and culture of the Muslim Midleast. Unless I'm missing something, the Arabs haven't given anything to the world, except killing and death all long the history....

Chew this around spit it out: 500 million Arabs; 5 million Jews. Think of all the Arab countries as a football field, and Israel as a pack of matches sitting in the middle of it. And now these same folks swear that, if Israel gives them half of that pack of matches, everyone will be pals..

Really? Wow, what neat news. Hey, but what about the string of wars to obliterate the tiny country and the constant din of rabid blood oaths to drive every Jew into the sea? Oh, that? We were just kidding.

My friend Kevin Rooney made a gorgeous point the other day: Just reverse the Numbers. Imagine 500 million Jews and 5 million Arabs. I was stunned at the simple brilliance of it . Can anyone picture the Jews strapping belts of razor blades and dynamite to themselves? Of course not.

Or marshaling every fiber and force at their disposal for generations to drive a tiny Arab State into the sea? Nonsense. Or dancing for joy at the murder of innocents? Impossible. Or spreading and believing horrible lies about the Arabs baking their bread with the blood of children? Disgusting.

No, as you know, left to themselves in a world of peace, the worst Jews would ever do to people is debate them to death. Mr. Bush, God bless him, is walking a tightrope. I understand that, with vital operations in Iraq and others, it's in our interest, as Americans, to try to stabilize our Arab allies as much as possible, and, after all, that can't be much harder than stabilizing a roomful of super models who've just had their drugs taken away. However, in any big-picture strategy, there's always a danger of losing moral weight. We've already lost some. After September 11th, our president told us and the world he was going to root out all terrorists and the countries that supported them. Beautiful.

Then the Israelis, after months and months of having the equivalent of an Oklahoma City every week (and then every day), start to do the same thing we did, and we tell them to show restraint. If America were being attacked with an Oklahoma City every day, we would all very shortly be screaming for the administration to just be done with it and kill everything south of the Mediterranean and east of the Jordan.

Please feel free to pass this along to your friends Walk in peace! Be Happy! Have a wonderful life.
